My Story.
I received my bachelor’s degree, from Texas Tech University, where I majored in History. I taught U.S. History for 6 years and used to take my students to Washington, D.C. in the summer. This trip led to my first camera and photography became my artistic outlet. I took my camera everywhere: Weddings, Vacations, Important Events – you name it!
While teaching, I had the privilege of cheering on the hometown team; The Houston Texans, for two years. My coach took notice that I had a love for photography and hired me to take some photos for one of the HTC Social Media Campaigns. I haven’t put my camera down since. I’ve shot everything from beautiful mommy-to-be’s, to families, weddings, and back to my start with pro-cheerleading and fitness.
I now am able to do photography full time. I am the mother to three amazing little boys and the wife of my biggest cheerleader of all, my husband Alex. You might see Alex at your photoshoot as well! Engineer by day and Amelia Rose Photography assistant and second shooter when needed!
BOTTOM LINE: My goal is to make my clients feel and look amazing while having fun! We will have a lot of fun on your photoshoot. Having been on the other side of many photoshoots; I am able to make my clients feel comfortable while giving them proper direction and instruction.
