Beautiful Charlotte

Beautiful Charlotte

Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first.

My Heart was so full when I was asked to photograph Matt and Heather's newest addition. I love coming to my clients homes and photographing the details of their nursery and some sweet first moments as a family. This little one is beautiful and I know these two are going to be the GREATEST parents to her---that was incredibly evident in our fun session. I loved all of the special touches Heather created from her hand knitted outfits to her wedding headband---this was definitely a session to remember.

Much Love you two...or should I say you three :)

Coordination at it's FINEST.

Coordination at it's FINEST.

FINALLY. I am getting a moment to sit down and write some posts about my sessions over the past two months!

So my first of several future posts will begin with my dear friend Kim and her beautiful family of five. Kim and I met while cheering for the hometown team, the Houston Texans. From there, our friendship has continued to grow. I am so thankful for this beautiful friend of mine.

Beyond being an extraordinary mother, Kim is also the best stylist in town. (She has styled me for nearly every photoshoot I've recently been a part of.) A lot of my clients ask me what they should wear for their session---so I thought I'd point out a few amazing aspects of Kim's session.

First, PATTERN. Notice the boys have a a lot of pattern in their adorable jackets, however, if the rest of the group would have gone with a pattern as bold...it would have been too much. I love how she had her hubby tie in the navy and the red and she kept it simple with her and baby girl  wearing solid greens.

I'm all about mixing the patterns with the solid colors as well as coordinating colors! This was PERFECT for their Christmas Time Photoshoot and looked great on her cards! Not to mention---who doesn't love seeing bow ties on little boys and sparkly shoes on baby girls!?

Fall Family Sessions

Fall Family Sessions

So you might not be in holiday mode quite yet---but it is definitely that time to start booking your fall family photo sessions! I have different package levels that will give you a great variety and of course each are very customizable!

Let's have some fun!

Charlotte's Maternity

Charlotte's Maternity

I was so incredibly happy and honored to do this maternity shoot for my beautiful friend Charlotte. Charlotte and I met in college and were sorority sisters, we stood by each other as we said our "I Do's" to the loves of our lives, and now we are both expecting baby boys on September 20th. (I know what you are thinking...that awkward question we get asked so frequently..."did you plan it?" lol! No people.) I couldn't be happier for her and her hubby---this is such a special time.

So now the real question...will Baby C or M come first?! The countdown continues...

...yes I said continues...because let's get real---pregnant mamas ESPECIALLY in the third trimester have a countdown.

Michelle

Michelle

I don't know that there is anything more beautiful than a mom who wants to be the healthiest and best version of herself for her growing family. Michelle is a friend of mine from our good ole Klein High Cheerleading Days! She reached out to me to set up this goal photoshoot a few months after having her adorable son Camden. We shot this only 6 MONTHS after her giving birth to him. Talk about MOMMY GOALS. With exercise and a healthy meal plan this Advocare Representative was ready! She had an AMAZING and fun photoshoot!

For all my mommy friends out there---let me just say...IT IS FUN TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL AND SEXY. You carried your kiddos for 9 months, care for them daily, worry about them constantly--there is NOTHING wrong with doing a little something for Y-O-U! These fitness photoshoots and goal photoshoots are a blast and I absolutely LOVE empowering women.

Women Empowering Women. #LetsGo.

Allie + Rhett

Allie + Rhett

This was a very special engagement session! I absolutely adore these two! A little background story for all who do not know that beyond photographing beautiful people...I also am very talented at match-making my friends! (lol--but really---I'm two for two and both are engaged! That's a pretty solid record!) I've known Rhett since elementary school days and we became close throughout junior high and high school. I met Allie when I was cheering for the Texans and we instantly connected. She is so incredibly funny, smart, and sweet! I told Rhett he needed to meet her and obviously told her she needed to meet Rhett! With planning my own wedding at the time and being a full time teacher and part time NFL cheerleader---I couldn't make it to be there for what could be a potentially awkward first meeting (y'all know it's true! setting people up can be tricky!)---but Rhett being the smart man that he is...went ahead and just went out with her without his high school buddy to accompany them or make the introductions. (Go Rhett! Solid Call!) The rest is history! The two of them together are amazing. When I am with them, I can not stop laughing because they quite possibly have two of the greatest sense of humors! I think one of the other things about their relationship that stands out to me is the fact that they both are extremely family oriented. They attend each others family functions and important life events and there truly is nothing more beautiful than that!  I know they will have a beautiful life together and it makes my heart so incredibly happy. Beyond grateful I was able to take your engagements and even more honored to stand by your side when you say your  "I Do's." Being married is the BEST!

Love you guys!

Brittan: Senior Portraits

I've known Brittan for a solid three years now. We were rookies together on the Houston Texans Cheerleading #TEAM. We've spent long nights dancing and beautifully long Sundays cheering together and man---those were some fun times! But as I've told many and I've also told Brittan---more fun times are just around the corner. I have no doubts she will do and succeed in whatever she puts her mind to. She lights up a room and her positive energy is contagious. I was thrilled to be able to take these photos to mark this milestone in her life. Graduating from a TIER ONE University is something to be incredibly proud of.

Love ya girl---

Viviana + Michael

I've known Vivi since we were 11 from our good ole' Junior High days! I was ecstatic to receive a message from her to photograph her wedding! This woman is Super Woman because she threw this wedding together within a matter of months and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! The venue, the food, the details---everything was done with such simple elegance. There were so many breathtaking moments; it often left me a bit teary eyed. I hope you all enjoy some of these highlights from Vivi and Mike's big day. The pure love in that room was so incredibly evident----

Happy Everything you two lovebirds!

#HTCTryouts2016

I have absolutely loved being able to be a part of these beautiful girls journey in becoming a Houston Texans Cheerleader.  Whether it was In-Studio Sessions or On-Location; I strived to make each session unique, fun, and individualized based on each girl’s personality.  Getting to know them has been so much fun and I am truly so excited for the adventure they are continuing today with tryouts. My years with the Texans are amongst some of my happiest years and to be able to help girls achieve this goal brings me so much joy.

Huge shout out to my girl Liz Rivera who did majority of the girls’ hair and make up. Liz was a four year vet, 2015 Pro Bowl Representative, and 2 year captain with the Houston Texans Cheerleaders. The individual attention she gave each of our clients was outstanding. As she did their hair and make up, she offered advice that only a former Texans Cheerleader could give.

To our clients---you know what to do. We have shared our knowledge with you and hope for your successes today. Go in and have some fun! Again, thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. Hopefully the next time we see each other, we will be HTC Sisters.

Lots of Love,

Amelia

Well Here I Go...

Well Here I Go...

Well here I go – the first blog post of Amelia Rose Photography! It is amazing and so overwhelming to take a look at this site and see so many of my beautiful clients and their happy memories for this year. I feel so blessed that you all allowed me to be the one to capture your special moments.

It took me a while to figure out what my first post would be about. Should I run back one of my photo-shoots? Should I give some insight on how sessions work? I decided this post would be more personal and about my year along with a few thank you’s.

It has been an adventurous year for my husband and I – we spent this past year traveling the world! I was a Houston Texans Cheerleader for two years and most of my time was split between my teaching career and my pro-cheerleading career. This was our first married year minus my pro-cheerleading career; so my husband and I decided what better time to travel than the present. (With that said---we didn’t completely leave the Texans out of the equation! Many of my best friends still cheer for them and of course I had to go cheer my girls on from the stands! Needless to say; we hit up some Texans Games!) We also went to New Mexico, Italy, New York, Disney World, Harry Potter World, Wisconsin, Mexico and ended it out in Washington, D.C. for New Years! It was a perfect year filled with amazing memories.

Beyond all of the traveling, I spent this year building my portfolio. Every session was such a blessing to me. It was another friend or another family that believed in my craft. In this business, there is ALWAYS room to grow and I will continue learning and continue growing.

Last but not least, I’d like to give some thank you’s

To My HTC Family: My first clients. I can never put into words how much you all mean to me and how much it meant to me that you would allow me to be a part of your tryout process over the last two years. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. #WhoAreWeHTC

To My Clients: Thank you for being a part of my first year! You all hold a very special place in my heart and I hope for many more amazing sessions to come!

Mom, Dad, Becca: You have always been my biggest cheerleaders. Thank you for your guidance in starting my new business and thank you for always being my constants. Love Ya “5”

Scott: My Mentor. My Yoda. Thank you for taking me under your wing and showing me the ropes to this beautiful and crazy life of being a photographer. I value your guidance and I value our friendship.

Last but certainly not least,

My husband: Thank you Alex for believing in me and encouraging me the whole way. I don’t know how I got so lucky to have you as my husband, but I thank God everyday for you. You are the best. Cheers to another year of Adventure, Laughs, and Good Times with our friends and family!
